Jim (JC) Cook has raised over $1 billion in capital and made a global impact through the development of breakthrough technology, music, television, and film, all while pursuing humanitarian efforts that have been helping the planet since 1990. He is the Chairman of International Capital Fund LLC, a company funding technology, film, music, and humanitarian projects worldwide. He also serves as Chairman of International Film Distribution and is a 50/50 partner in 3D Film, bringing innovation to cinematic experiences on a global scale.

JC is also the founder of Energy Technology Business Consultants, an international consulting firm built on one core philosophy: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

JC’s journey into the spotlight began in 1987 when he helped bring MTV's first-ever live Spring Break broadcast to Daytona Beach, Panama City, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando.

The following year, he launched Battle of the Bands at the iconic Daytona Bandshell, showcasing some of the biggest rock acts of the decade. In 1990.

He co-founded The Humanitarian Awards alongside Kendall Minter and Elizabeth Taylor, honoring celebrities for their philanthropic work.

By 1988, he had already begun working in international film financing under the mentorship of Bob Eyde, and he had laid the groundwork for what would become International Film Distribution and International Capital Fund LLC, co-owned with his partner Indigo Moon—two global platforms now powering media creation, funding, and distribution.

Mentored since age 18 by some of the most respected names in all entertainment, from law, to finance in music and film, technology and sports.

JC has done it all. He helped fund Happily Ever After, the sequel to Snow White, at just 19 years of age.

He soon became the business manager to Allen Schwalb, the most acclaimed film financier in Hollywood history, whose work brought in 64 Academy Award nominations. With 16 Academy Award wins with such legendary titles as Rain Man, The Color Purple, Rocky, Rambo, Thelma & Louise, and Moonstruck to name just a few.

JC’s executive producer credits include artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Ice-T to name just a few.

He was guided by the industry legends Russ Regan, his uncle Joe Saraceno, and Quincy Jones, and trained in entertainment law by Al Schlesinger and Kendall Minter, co-founder of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association and the Living Legends Foundation.

JC was also trained in music library acquisition by Hal Neely, founder of King Records, and now owns over 22,000 master recordings spanning from classical to modern hits, including original hits and 2025 remakes.

He developed the world’s first flat satellite dish in 1996 and in 2025 continues to lead advancements in AI, film, music, green energy, and waste-to-energy technologies.

As a lifelong humanitarian, he founded Help Shelter the Homeless at 18 and is focused on rolling out non-electric well-drilling systems with MIT graduates to bring clean water to Africa.

His latest initiatives include plastic-eating microalgae designed to detoxify oceans and support phytoplankton, as well as recycling ocean plastic into sustainable housing to reduce deforestation.

Over the past 35+ years, JC has done international deals with royalty such as Basil Prince of Kuwait bring offshore boat racing and motor sports to the UAE.

He had done a deal in 1992 with King Fahad to bring one of, if not the the first entertainment initiative to Saudi in 1992.

In 2013 he helped bring the first music conference to Dubai which featured Quincy Jones, along with film funding initiatives to Dubai and consistently has aligned purpose with profit to create a better world for the next generation.
