A 35+ Year Journey of Innovation and Global Impact

Jim (JC) Cook is an accomplished entrepreneur with over three decades of leadership across entertainment, technology, real estate, and humanitarian development.

Over the years, JC has helped in raising more than $1 billion in capital for a variety of ventures from technology, music, film, AI, sustainability, and real estate.

He is Chairman of International Capital Fund LLC, which presents and develops global projects in film, music, technology, real estate, and waste to energy.

JC also chairs International Film Distribution, is a 50/50 partner in 3D Film, and is the founder of Energy Technology Business Consultants, an international firm committed to solving complex global challenges through innovation.

JC, in the 1990s, brought about groundbreaking international initiatives, including two of the first entertainment ventures with King Fahad of Saudi Arabia in 1992 and with Prince Basil of Kuwait, whom JC introduced to the world of offshore racing and global motorsports during the 1990s.

Early Foundations in Entertainment

At just 17 years old, JC’s path began in 1987, helping bring MTV’s first live Spring Break broadcast to Daytona Beach, Panama City, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando. In 1988, he launched the Battle of the Bands concert series at the Daytona Bandshell, quickly establishing himself as a rising figure in music and event promotion.

Around the same time, JC began working in television and film distribution under the mentorship of Bob Eyde, laying the groundwork for what would become a lifelong career in global entertainment financing and production.

At 19, JC helped fund Happily Ever After, the animated sequel to Snow White.

Eventually becoming the business manager for Allen Schwalb, one of Hollywood’s most prolific film financiers, whose credits include over 64 Academy Award-nominated films such as Rain Man, Thelma & Louise, Moonstruck, and Rocky.

Industry Mentorship & Legacy Influence

Throughout his career, JC has been mentored by some of the most respected names in entertainment:

  • Allen Schwalb – The film financier who received 64 Academy Award nominations funding films such as Rocky, Rain Man, The Color Purple, and many more (72 total). JC was mentored by Allen since age 15, helping him get financing for his first film at age 19. JC went on to become partners and the business manager for Allen some 30 years later.

  • Kendall Minter – Co-founder of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association.

  • Russ Regan – Helped launch the careers of Elton John and Neil Diamond.

  • Joe Saraceno – Named the #1 instrumental producer in the world and JC’s partner from age 19 until his passing.

  • Hal Neely – Founder of King Records and expert in music library acquisition.

  • Al Schlesinger – Entertainment attorney who wrote the book on music law and served as Treasurer of the Grammy Foundation.

  • Sir Phillip Gaitlan – Founder of Gold Star Records and helped create the CD.

These mentors played a key role in shaping JC’s approach to creative business, licensing, and rights management.

In 1990, JC was involved in one of the largest music catalog acquisitions.

He co-founded The Humanitarian Awards with the help of Kendall Minter and Elizabeth Taylor, nominating celebrities for making a global impact.

Media Production, Music, and IP Development

Over the years, JC has produced or contributed to projects involving artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction, and Ice-T.

He now oversees a catalog of over 22,000 master recordings, including original works and new 2025 remakes—positioning him as a key player in global music licensing, distribution, and rights ownership.

Technology, Real Estate & Sustainability

JC’s professional reach expanded beyond entertainment into technology and real estate development, where he has led both commercial and residential projects with a focus on long-term community impact.

In 1996, he helped develop the world’s first flat satellite dish and tracking system for boats and RVs.

His commitment to innovation continues today through his work in AI, energy tech, and media.

Recent initiatives currently working on creating include:
